6:00-6:15pm: Passing Warmup (5 people w/creative play) and Dynamic Warm Up
6:15-6:35pm Activity: Ruck or Defend Drill – Split into two groups, group 1 is moving around 5 × 5 grid behind breakdown for attacking team, coach shows number (so defenders can’t see) of who should commit to ruck (others align in attack), attack looking to counter ruck and scrum half must read and communicate who needs to be in ruck v. D1, 2, and 3 – they are split in half coming from each side in 5X5 grid moving around. Use tackle dummy as person being tackled. KFA: 1) scan ahead 2) behind last foot Focus: Call out my hit Progression: change timing of when each group leaves
6:35 – 6:45pm Activity: Blind Dot Dot Dash – w/partner, get from one end to the other to score a try KFA: 1) specific communication 2) Focus: Race to get across Progression: w/Leech, but silent, blow whistle and add in scroe the try and pencil ball placement
6:45-7:20pm Backs/Forwards Split – MiKayla w/backs Activities: Defensive focus – handling balls in air, working to counter attack KFA: 1) watch ball into hands 2) green space coverage Focus: Switch to different positions Progression: Increase pressure Forwards – Lineout – Pod triangle into full 5 reps KFA: 1) small step and explode 2) tight core in air Focus: Count revolutions w/success Progression: Pod triangle to reps w/full 5
