Match Prep – Wear Training Jersey and rugby shorts

Feedback: Add in more tackle preparation
Objective: Match Preparation – walk through all match day activities
Principles: Score/Apply Pressure – WALK THROUGH GAMEDAY WARMUP

5:30-5:34PM:
4-5 player passing w/opposition: length of half of the pitch
Free to use skip, switch, over, under, etc.
Progress to whistle and tackle to ground, with ruck over
5:34-5:44PM:
Dynamic Stretching: 2 lines facing so all players can hear and see exercises
Led by field captain
Active and running the same direction as we will play
5:44-5:54PM:
Contact Skills: Partner w/SO to perform Contact Warmup
Slap Neighbor
Wrestling- Pair with another SO group
Gauntlet
2 v 1

5:54-6:06PM:
Backs/Forwards Split: Unit skills
Backs: Starter moves w/opposition, add in ruck support w/opposition (Hit Shields)
Forwards
Scrum: 1v1 to 1 v 2, into full 8w/opposition from 4 different marks
Lineouts: 3-4 w/opposition from different sideline locations
Add drive, short, and off the top
6:06-6:10pm
Team Run: Start from kickoff, scrum start, lineout, penalty
Transition possession at the breakdown
Simulate tackle after 6 step breakaway

Defense at Breakdown/Hit: 8 players dot dot dash in 5X5 grid, 4 cones set up as breakdown. Scrum half pass to first receiver, activate push defense w/D3 aligning w/1st receiver, 4 hit shields, 2 on each side

Follow through w/3 driving short steps
6:14-6:15pm
Team Cheer/National Anthem: Check for match readiness

6:15-6:30pm – Cool Down
