9/29/17: Match Prep – Wear Training Jersey and rugby shorts

Time/Session #: 4:00-5:00pm
Feedback: Focus and preparation for match against Lee
Objective: Readiness for match day
Principles: Score
Equipment: 4 hit shields, balls, cones, pinnies, tackle ring

4:00-4:15pm: 4-5 person passing groups/dynamic warmup – will take place in the try zone while HS team is playing on match day – passing groups will run cross-field in try zone (down and back twice), then switch directions for Dynamic stretches

4:15-4:25pm: Contact Skills: Partner w/SO to perform Contact Warmup (try zone)
4 lines dot dot dash in small grid, hands passing, score to finish
Slap Neighbor, 2 v 1

4:25-4:30pm: Tackle RX – 1 15×15 Grid w/ 4 hit shields, 4 cones each – 2 reps each, ADD IN TACKLE RING
· Line integrity
· Drive 3 steps on the hit
Talk about when we will return to locker room, change into jerseys, restrooms, referee pre-match chat, reserves wear orange pinnies

4:30-4:45am: Team Walkout on Field Captain
Backs/Forwards Split: Unit Skills
Backs: Starter moves w/reserves in opposition
Forwards:
· Scrum: 1v1, into full 8w/opposition from 2 different marks (Switch after first 2)
· Lineouts: 4 w/opposition from different sideline locations (Switch after first 2)

4:45-4:50pm Team Run: Start from kickoff, scrum start, lineout, penalty
· Transition possession, switch in reserves

4:50-4:55pm: Note return to locker room to include visualization, visualization for trip

4:55-5pm Discuss/walkthrough team presentation – lineup at center field single file in roster order (captain first), walk to half-field, match officials follow, captain first then wrap around
- National anthem, team cheer as one, reserves exit field, first 15 ready to kick or receive
- Cool Down/Stretch
