Feedback: Skill development
Objective: Develop basic fundamental skills
Principles: Go forward
Equipment Needed: Balls, Cones, Pinnies, Water bottles
4:00-4:15pm: Passing/Dynamic warmup
4:15-4:25pm
Activity: Ellis passing series
KFA: 1) sight the target 2) follow through w/both hands
Focus: keep track of quality reps out of 10, then switch
Progression: flick, squat/flick, ball drop, front facing, side-on,
4:25-4:35pm
Activity: Ultimate Rugby
KFA: 1) dot dot dash to evade and move to space 2)
Focus: 1 point for making it to 10, then turnover ball, keep track of score
Progression: make grid smaller
4:35-4:40pm
Activity: 3 Person Angry Cat Relay/1v2 w/3 step drive – On one side of pitch, start w/1 minute of Angry Cat w/ 2 resistors, then race to opposite side, and 2v1 – go three times
KFA: 1) shoulders above hips 2) neutral head
Focus: Race to the finish
Progression: increase by 30 sec. Each round (3 total)
4:40-4:50pm
Activity: 6 tag touch, w/score the try technique to go to ground
KFA: 1) depth in attack 2) run at spaces not faces
Focus: count tries scored
Progression: remove going to ground
4:50-5:00pm – Cool Down/Stretch
